Wind and Rain, Rain and Wind

One day, a tropical storm, the next, a hurricane! That’s how it goes around these parts. Today, Hurricane Debby is slamming the Big Bend area of Florida with storm bands that reach from the Gulf of Mexico clear out into the Atlantic Ocean. It’s on its way to Georgia and the Carolinas, but we are still getting lots of rain here.

The winds aren’t too bad, thus far, so I’m hoping the storm will just blow on out to sea without causing any serious damage along the way. (Major finger crossing going on!) Will keep you posted if there are any drastic changes, but so far, it’s gone easy on us here in the Orlando area.

Wishing Everyone in Debby’s Path Good Luck!

    • We’ve had some extremely hot temps lately, so the plants are LOVING all this rain. Not only do they get to soak up lots of water, but it cools them down, too. I think they will be looking wonderful when I can get outside to trim back any broken stems, etc. Even from here at my desk, I can see my favorite pink rose is blooming like mad. I’ll share some pics tomorrow, if the weather cooperates. 😀 ❤

    • We are in the clear now, Gwen. By early today, Debby was heading into Georgia, I think, and on its way to the Carolinas. Before it’s all said and done, it’s predicted it will impact Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and end up somewhere around Newfoundland! Whoa!
