#ThankYou!

Just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciated your kind responses to my update post from Sunday. I started trying to respond to everyone, but  realized I’m running way behind, so I hope you’ll understand my decision to thank you all at once.

I’m officially on my semi-blog break now, and am trying to get as much “down time” as I can, at least through the end of the year. This is tricky for me, being utterly addicted to keeping up with my blog friends every day, all day long. But I’m being extra careful not to overdo right now, as per my doctor’s instructions, hence the blanket thank you.

Believe me, your kind words and support mean the world to me, and I am wishing you ALL the best holiday season, EVER!

Merry Christmas from 104 of My Santas!

    • I should have added that I WILL be around here and there, and will respond to you guys when I can. Some days that will be easy enough to do, others, perhaps not so much so.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes, Jan, and hope you have a great one, too! 😀 ❤

  1. Merry Christmas, Marcia! That small cluster of Santas is impressive – as is your good sense in doing what the doctor has told you to do! Enjoy the break and come back refreshed! ♥♥

    • I’m caught up today, and have time to respond here and there, Trish. Glad you enjoyed the Santas. That’s just my collection of Old World Mantel Santas, but I managed to get about 3/4 of my whole collection up over the nine days. So several hundred, anyway. I’ll post some pics soon, just for holiday fun.

And you better believe I’m doing exactly what the doctor told me. I don’t want to take chances with my heart, that’s for sure, so I’m being extra-special GOOD! 😁

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope your Christmas is a wonderful one! 😀 ❤

    • Thanks, Jeanne! I hope your Christmas is a wonderful one, too. (And I’ll be popping in here and there, when I don’t have to push myself to find extra time to do so. This morning is a slow one, so I’m happy to be able to respond to comments, thus far.)

Good to see you today! 😀 ❤

    • Glad you like them, Mae. I have most of my Santas out, though not quite all of them. I did end up sending a few boxes of things back to the attic when I realized I pushing too hard. But I have enough in every room to make me happy!

And while I’m sure I will visit my blog off and on, taking some serious time off for R&R (READING and Relaxing) will be a nice change of pace.

Thanks for the holiday wishes, and I am sending mine to you, as well. Hope your Christmas is Merry & Bright, and that 2023 brings loads of goodies and fun your way! (You’ve been a good little Penderpal, and you’ve earned it!) 😀 ❤

    • Sounds like a great time, Janet. We aren’t having company this year until the week after Christmas, so it will be unusually quiet. But since that’s what the doctored ordered (literally), it’s all good.

Enjoy your family, and have a very Merry Christmas! 😀 ❤

    • Thanks so much, Sally! It’s such a change for me, since I’m usually here at the computer for hours and hours every day, but being able to catch up on my reading is going to be great! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season, too! See you on the other side. 😀 ❤

    • Glad you enjoyed the mantel collection of Old World Santas. I have Santas dfisplayed in every room in the house now, even though I didn’t put them ALL out. They are EVERYWHERE, and I love them so much, I’m glad felt up to doing as many as I did. I’ll do a post soon to share a few more with you all.

And here’s to a very Merry Christmas for you, too! 😀 ❤

    • Awww, that is SO sweet of you to say, Gwen! I’m going to miss not stopping by here throughout the day, every single day, but I do have to curb my enthusiasm for blogging a wee bit. I won’t totally disappear, but I need to do what the doctor asked, so we can better tell how the meds are really working.

And I’m really glad you’ve enjoyed my Santas. I’ll do an updated post on the ones I have out this year before too long. They just make me happy, but then, what can you expect from someone whose two favorite men in the world are Santa Claus and the Wizard of Oz?? 😄

Here’s to a wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year, Gwen! You deserve it!! 😀 ❤

    • Thanks, Luna, but that’s only one small portion of the (literally) hundreds I’ve collected over the years. I like to group my Old World Santas on the mantel, but I have lots of other kinds throughout every room, from small to huge, and including things like vintage Santa mugs, pitchers, and posters, too. I’ll do a post before the holidays are over and share more photos. Heck there are over 80 Santa ornaments on one of my trees alone. Yep. OCD for Santa, that’s me! 😁

Thanks for stopping by, and I’m glad you enjoyed the mantel collection! 😀 ❤

      • Amazing! My Grandma collected Santas, and I really miss her enthusiasm for Christmas. I inherited one of her Santas but I haven’t found a safe place to put him where my dogs won’t knock him over, lol!

I look forward to your holiday post!

        • I’ll try to put some pics together soon. And I inherited a couple of vintage Santas from my grandmother, too, and one from a friend that’s almost 100 years old. (The Santa, not the friend, though she did live a full and interesting life.) The things I have that were gifts from others are my most precious of all!

          Have a great weekend! 😀 ❤

    • If you love it and enjoy it every year, it’s definitely a collection, Rae! It’s just not a completely overboard, OCD, neurotic, compulsion of one! 😂😂😂 And I suspect that’s probably MUCH healthier! 😁

Still, having said that, I do enjoy mine to the max each Christmas, so I’m not giving up on it yet, though I have started letting my grandkids pick out one to take home with them every year. And I will confess that the physical labor of getting them down and setting them up tired me out significantly this time around, so it might be time to give away a few more. Maybe. 😉

Merry Christmas to you AND your Santas, and best wishes for a wonderful 2023! 🤗🎄🤗

      • Funny this came today. I just packed two Santas from my “collection” into a gift basket for the couple from my Sunday school class who helped out with the Open House of my Book Hub here in Alvin, TX, Rae’s Reads, on the 13th of December.
