  1. I highly recommend these books. Love, love them. Here’s my review for The Emissary 2: To Love Somebody. If you haven’t read them, run out and buy them now!
    I love these books as they are a fun read. The writing style is delightful, the story flows easily and the characters we fell in love with in the first book, continue to develop nicely. The dialogue is totally believable, contemporary and natural. The archangel is an awesome character. The relationship between Jack and Dodger, well established in the first book, continues to grow and deepen. I love how humour is woven in as these two Angel helpers hit the road and tackle some pretty difficult situations. Some very touching moments as well. The writer uses her knowledge of the landscape and wildlife of Florida to paint a vivid picture. And using appropriate song titles for chapter headings is brilliant. I look forward to the third book in this trilogy. Will Dodger find love at last?

    • Wow, Darlene! Thank you so much for such a fabulous review! I’m so happy to know you enjoyed these stories and getting to know Jake, Dodger, and of course, the ever-ginormous Azrael! They were such fun to write, and I am still trying to decide how to get them into print so folks who don’t enjoy Kindles can read them, too. I wanted to combine the 3 novellas into one print collection, but had a lot of trouble trying to format it. (Maybe I’ll just go with smaller books, instead.)

(Especially if you eventually tackle the Wake-Robin Ridge books and meet Rabbit, everyone’s very favorite character.) But I’m also very interested in what you think of the 2nd and 3rd Riverbend books, which really delve into the lives of the three Painter Brothers. They are each very different from each other, and it was a joy to write their stories.
