Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that Sarah Brentyn’s new anthology, The Shadows We Breathe, is now officially released. Be sure to stop by Sarah’s site to read more about the book and all of the authors who contributed stories. I’m grabbing my copy today!
It’s here! 🥂🖤 🎉
The Shadows We Breathe is now available in eBook and paperback!
I am so grateful to have worked with seven talented, amazing authors to create this gorgeous anthology of short fiction.
Thank you to all the authors who contributed. And to Loni Townsend and Allie Potts for their help and patience in explaining techy stuff I don’t understand. 😜💕

WE ARE ALL PART SHADOW
Life promises joy and sorrow. Alongside the light, there will always be traces of darkness. It is the nature of being human.
In this anthology, we explore relationships—how they sculpt us, hurt us, help us, and reveal our deepest desires.
Eight artists, whose words paint worlds, bring you stories of heartache, loss, hope, and forgiveness. They unveil the intimacy and complexity of relationships.
Whether family, friend, or lover, connections to others can hold us up or break us…

Thanks, Harmony. And now that I’ve finished going through my email and taking care of anything that can’t wait, I’m going to get back to some serious “resting up” around here. An hour into the day, and I’m already tired. (Can’t wait for this fatigue to go away!) I’ll try to check again later today, though. Baby steps. 😀 ❤

I hope you feel better soon. Seems we’re both taking baby steps at the moment. Slow and steady wins the race. Hugs 💕🙂

Exactly so, Harmony, and I’ve been thinking about you, too, even though I haven’t been around to say so. Between us, those baby steps will get us where we need to go! Slow and steady wins the race, you know. (I made that up. No, really, I did. Okay, I totally didn’t, but it’s still true. 😀 ❤ )

So glad to help you get the word out, Sarah! Wish I had the energy to respond to all comments, but every time I try, I’m ready to stagger to the Comfy Chair by the time I’m done. GAH!! Not how I like to run my blog! *sniff* But I’m workin’ on it! 😀 ❤

Okay. You win. I’m far too tired to argue today. In fact, I’m considering cancelling my next wildlife talk, even if I’m over COVID, because I’m definitely not over the side effects yet. It’s still eleven days away, but I don’t want to wait until the last minute to let folks know. And apparently this type of extreme fatigue can last for a few weeks before it finally skulks off into the night and leaves its victims alone. 😯Whatever. I’ll just stay home and nap off and on until it departs for good! But reblogging your release post took all of about 30 seconds, so don’t worry on that score.
And now … cue soft, relaxing music … The Comfy Chair! 😀 ❤

I’m hoping to have some proper reading time soon and I have so many lovely books to choose from! Glad to hear you’re listening to your body and not trying to push through the fatigue. Get all the rest you can so that you come out the other side reinvigorated and raring to go. ❤

Sounds like a good plan to me, Trish. Workin’ on it. (Or should I say, resting on it?) 🙂 ❤

Thanks so much for sharing the book, Marcia. Sarah did a wonderful and meticulous job pulling this together. On another note, I hope you’re feeling better and recovering your energy. I’ve been laid up recently too with back issues. We’re all falling apart! Lol (NOT). Be well, my friend. Hugs.

Haha! Yes, “meticulous” is a good word. I think I may have driven the authors a bit mad. 😉 But, thanks, Diana. 💖 Hope you both are feeling better very soon.
