Want an easier way to spruce up your book descriptions? Check out this very helpful post from Nicholas Rossis! I’m planning to give this a go very soon, and think some of you might be interested, too. Best part? It’s FREE! I hope you’ll consider sharing this post with the Immediate World, so others can learn about this new KDP tool. Thanks, and thanks to Nicholas for another super post. Great job, as always! π
A few years ago, I had posted about Dave Chesson, aka Kindlepreneur, and KDP Rocket β a tool that generates the best keywords for your Amazon books.
To understand the importance of keywords, check out Daveβs post on Kindle Keywords, or this one on Fiction Keyword Strategies.
While KDP Rocket is not free, Dave has also developed a host of other handful tools and tutorials, including a free AMS tutorial β the best Iβve watched so far on the subject: clear, all-encompassing, with a friendly tone and plenty of notes at the end.
Amazon Book Description Generator
Dave has also long offered a lovely freebie called Amazon Book Description Generator. This is a free tool that allows you to format your Amazon blurb in a way that makes it pop out without needing any fancy code. As Dave explains on his website,

Marcia, you got me on the hook. I’ll check it out. I get so fed up with Amazon’s search results. Sometimes when I search my own book I get multiple pages of “sponsored” books that don’t have anything to do with my title. Maybe using their generator would help with that. Hugs.

I figure it couldn’t hurt. This one deals with book descriptions and how to make them stand out, but KDP Rocket will help you generate better, stronger keywords, so that’s one of my goals, too. And I have yet to hear a single complaint about Dave Chesson’s programs. I’m sure there might be some, somewhere, but I keep reading very good reviews and comments. I figure we don’t have much to lose by using these to up our game a bit, and as soon as I finish this WIP of mine, I’m going to spend some serious time doing just that. I’ll be launching both the 3rd novella, and a boxed set of all three, so it will give me some immediate practice. π Hope you find it helpful! π

It’s always a pleasure to share your posts, Nicholas, especially those that can be so helpful. I’ve taken a look at the link you provided, and love the way it’s set up. I can’t wait to start redoing my old descriptions and to use this to create a new one when my WIP is finished. It’s going to be a big help, I think. THANKS!! π

You’re welcome, Mae. I really like it, since there’s no guesswork as to whether or not what you’re doing will work like you want it to. Hope you find it useful, too. π β€

Thank you, Marcia. I checked and bookmarked the post. I need to create a page or a category to list all the resources. β€

Your’e welcome, I have a folder I created on my desk top, Miriam, where I save the URL for posts I want to refer back to. I just drag and drop them right into the folder, easy-peasy. And when I get too many, I add sub-folders for each topic. π

Haha, Marcia. I can see that you need sub-folders. I bookmarked some links but it got to be too many! π

Like I say, bookmarking results in way too long of a list. I just drag and drop the page into my folder, and voila. It’s there for reference with I need it. I have subfolders for Writing, Blogging, Grammar, etc, etc, and end up with only a few in each one, ready whenever I am. Works well for me, and is MUCH faster than trying to scroll through a list of bookmarks in a dropdown menu. π

If it doesn’t work for you, no big deal. I think we are all just trying to find way to organize ourselves and make our work easier. And what works for one may or may not work for another. π

Yes, Marcia. I may do that plus creating a page on my my and list some there. I found the tools from one blogger that helped me to work on my book a couple years ago. π
