It’s Friday again, and though I’m not yet back to my normal weekly schedule, today has worked well for me to present you with another #FirstLineFriday quiz. As you know, this quiz is designed to help us appreciate some of the best opening lines in literary history. From the classics of long ago to the latest best-sellers, no matter how old or how recent, everything is fair game on #FirstLineFriday. Let’s see how many of you recognize (or can guess at) this one.

There are some hints in it, but hints don’t help if you’ve never read it, usually. However, there’s ONE that I think might have steered me in the right direction. More on that when I reveal the answer. Sorry it doesn’t ring a bell for you, though, Teri! Oh, ye of little patience! Hahahahaha. A mere 4 more hours, and I’ll not only be revealing it, I’ll be sharing a lot of info about it. 😀 But, sorry you wouldn’t have been able to answer it, regardless. Because it is, really. Everybody’s heard of it, I’m sure, even if they haven’t read the book OR seen the film. I knew it would be a hard one, but I honestly thought someone would get it. Alas. I thought wrong! 😦 Sorry it didn’t ring a bell for you, but you weren’t alone. 😀
