An Update on #ShareAReviewDay

I know I said I was going to be resuming #ShareAReviewDay starting tomorrow, 1/7, but I was a bit over-optimistic. I’m still trying to catch up with a ton of stuff, while trying to pace myself by not over-doing. And my local presentations are starting up again this coming Saturday, so I’m not totally organized yet.

Okay, who am I kidding? I’m never totally organized! But I’m usually closer to it than I am right now. With that thought in mind, I’m going to resume #ShareAReviewDay Tuesdays (one of my favorite regular features) on Tuesday, 1/21, and I’ve already got one review set up for that morning. I like to do two per Tuesday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and it’s always on a first-come, first served basis.

If one of your books has gotten a new review you’d like to share, or you have an older review you’d like to get in front of some new readers, please check the instructions in the header above under “General Blog Rules and Various Feature Instructions.” All you have to do is email me the things listed there, and I’ll set you up in the next available slot. (The first one to reach out to me gets the afternoon slot for 1/21!)

Be forewarned: When I don’t get enough reviews from you guys, I start sharing my own.  😀

I hope to hear from a few of you in the next week or two, so I can start scheduling you. Let’s let everyone see what readers are saying about your books!

Now, back to your previously scheduled programming.
😀

    • Thanks so much, Olga. I’m a bit nervous to be speaking to a group for the first time since my fall/concussion. I still hunt for the right word now and then, but I think I’m about 95% back to the shape I was in BEFORE the fall–such as it was. 😀 Except for math. Luckily, math hardly ever comes up in talks about alligators and birds. 😀

    • Thanks, Harmony! I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones again Saturday. I just hope I’m up to giving them their money’s worth. Oh, wait. The talks are free. I guess I’m capable of doing that much, anyway. 😀 😀 😀

And feeling better every day, thanks! 🙂 ❤

    • Thanks, Trish. Sometimes when I realize I’m doing too much, I think to myself, “Trish would scold me soundly for this!” And then I stop. Mostly. 😀

And yes, let’s get some of your reviews up soon. You can contact me whenever you want, and I’ll save a date for you and let you know when I need to have your info sent to me by. (What a crummy sentence!) Hahahaha.

  1. I hope you have an excellent presentation, Marica. And you’re smart to give yourself some leeway. I need to work up a few reviews for your Tuesdays moving ahead.

BTW, congrats on setting up your BookBub account. I’m so happy you’re there!

    • Thanks, Mae. I’m still learning, believe me. It fought me every step of the way, and I’m not sure it’s right, yet, but I’m persistent. And I hope to take advantage of some of the stuff I can do there soon, too.

I’m a bit nervous about Saturday, but I think that will go away as soon as I start greeting folks. This one might turn out to be a pretty small group, anyway, since it’s a “rerun,” but it’s a good way to get back in practice, anyhow.

And yes, send reviews when you can and I’ll schedule you here and there! 🙂

    • Thanks so much, Diana. I enjoyed hosting the #ShareAReviewDay feature, too. It’s always nice to see what folks are saying about the work of other writers, and like you, I found some books I wanted to read that way, too. Plus, I always said when I started this blog, I wanted to be part of supporting other writers. Many authors have given me advice and help along my journey, and I want to pay it forward when I can. This seemed like a fun way to do so.

As for getting back to normal, I do think I’m on the way, though I still tire a lot quicker than I did before I fell. Man, the brain takes a LONG time to recover from that type of injury. But compared to how I was the first couple of weeks, I’ve done much better than I expected. Yay!!

Drop me an email if you have a review you’d like to share, and I’ll set it up for you. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂 ❤

  3. Good luck with the presentation, Marcia I am sure you will be fine…Good hear you are on the mend as you know it takes a while… my friend Barb had a similar experience and it takes longer than initially thought but she got there as I am sure you will …Hugs x

    • Thanks so much, Carol. The event went great! I was so glad to see everyone, and many of them went out of their way to tell me how happy they were my talks were beginning again. I told them my recovery was about 95%, but since I’d only been operating at about 75% even BEFORE I fell, they could do the math to see where I was! 😀 Truly, I’m pleased with my progress and VERY glad to be back to these fun events. Now to get started on The Emissary 3. That’s the Plan! Thanks for stopping by! 😀 ❤

    • It went really well, and I was so happy to be doing them again, after such a long break/convalescence! Of course, I somehow scheduled TWENTY of them this year, so I might be feeling a bit overwhelmed again before I reach October. But they’re always fun.

As for BookBub, I’ve just barely gotten started. I have a list of reviews I want to get posted and stuff of that nature. My daughter is helping me with Instagram, thankfully, as I’m just so far behind! Why do we do this to ourselves?

The best news is that I’ve started on the 3rd Emissary novella, and hope to set a good pace with it, if possible. I have people waiting for it, because they want to read the print version, instead of an eBook. I don’t want to offer it in print until I can combine the trilogy into one book.

Busy, busy, busy, and it sounds like you are, as well.! 🙂 Thanks for taking a minute to drop by! 🙂 ❤
