#Sharing – Just For You Guys!

So happy to be nearly finished with TE2, and close to release time. Mostly, it’s about formatting now, and double checking to be sure everything looks as good as I can make it. And as a thank you for being such a great, supportive group of writers and readers, I’m sharing a wallpaper I recently (this morning) made to inspire me on days when I’m feeling a bit ho-hum about it all. Hope some of you can use it. Enjoy! 🙂

(NOTE: Right click and save. It should save as a full-sized 1920 x 1080 desktop wallpaper. If not, email me and I’ll send you the .jpg. )

  1. Love it. After Sarah Brentyn’s rousing words yesterday it’s given another sustaining boost to my literary soul. Now if only I could find a clear space on my desk for it… Perhaps I need something to make me feel positive about housework as well. Any suggestions gratefully received.

    • Glad you like it, Trish. It’s meant to be a desktop wallpaper for your computer screen, though you can always print it out smaller to use elsewhere. I decided I wanted to see that message filling my entire monitor as soon as I turn on my computer each day. I need that type of inspiration right now, you know– instead of the gorgeous pirate in a long, leather coat that has been residing there all summer. 😀 He WAS very inspirational, for sure, but now I need to “serious up” a bit. Daydreams of pirates and Vikings have to be put aside, while I focus on writing. I have a new novel to finish, after all, and though I tried pretty hard, I could think of no way to add a pirate to my cast of characters. 😦

        • Try this, Trish. Right click on the image above and choose Save As, then select Desktop. If all goes well, there will be a little icon of this image on your desktop. Right click on THAT, and choose “Set As Desktop Background,” and that should do it.

And if you’ve got a bunch of little icons cluttering up your desktop, you can right click anywhere on it, choose VIEW, and turn off the check mark on Show Desktop Icons. That should leave you with this image on your monitor and nothing else. If you want the Icons back, just right click on your desktop, choose VIEW, and put the checkmark BACK on Show Desktop Icons. Hope it works for you. 🙂

            • Hmmm. It must have saved much smaller than the original size of 1920 x 1080. That should have been big enough to cover your entire screen. I’ll email the full size one to you, and you can try it both ways and use the one you prefer. 🙂

On this blog, you have to type the sumbols for your emojis. A : plus a ) will give you a smile. A : plus a D will give you a grin. A : plus a ( will give you a frown. Try a couple out and see if they work for you here.

Lots of places will read them as emojis, but some have a drop down menu for you to choose from. Here, unless you are using your iPhone to post, which has emojis that will work, you have to use the symbols. Oh, and a < plus the numeral 3 will give you a heart. Hope that helps. Don't leave a space between the colon and letter or symbol or it won't work. 😀 (I typed "colon capital D" for the grin. )

    • Thanks, Darlene. I’m hoping for a few months that include more of my normal activity, and less drama of the weather-related kind. I’ve got things to do here, after all. Time’s a-wastin’! 😀 Enjoy the wallpaper! ❤

    • Must be a lot of that going around, Mae. I’m trying to get my head back into Rabbit’s world, and leave the Jake, Dodger, and Azrael behind for a few months, and it’s not easy. It was exactly what I needed today, and I’m so glad it might be inspirational to you, too. Thanks for your congratulations, as well. So glad to be wrapping up another one. *happy sigh*

    • You are very welcome. It’s a pretty good size to be used on most monitors, if you like. But the important thing is that we writers remember all these thoughts. So easy to forget, if we aren’t careful. 🙂

    • Yep, TE2 should be out within a week, I think, as I format and tweak a bit. And I’m glad you like the wallpaper. Thanks, Sally! Will be emailing you before long, for sure! 🙂 ❤

  2. Very nice Marcia. Writers always make time – this morning I was doing just that – finishing off a submission to Ghostly Writes Anthology. My hubby started complaining about the dishwasher not being emptied. Did I stop typing? No! I carried on. Some things are more important than that! He ended up doing it himself. Ha ha! Success…

    • Good for you! How hard is it for a man to empty the dishwasher once in a while, I ask you? Well, most men, anyway. I’m not altogether sure the one who lives here with me knows where a single dish, other than his coffee mug, actually goes. 😀 (But don’t tell him I complained. He goes to work every day, lets me handle the money, and never says boo about what I choose to do with my life. I suppose I can put away the dishes in return.) 😀 Glad you are focused on writing, Marje. That’s what we do! 😀 ❤

      • He’s asked me to do the ironing now! Ha ha… I see a pattern here. Didn’t used to mind but now I work full-time I’m beginning to feel the pinch… Keep on writing Marcia. And do send me your blog feature post when you get a chance – looking forward to having you visit my blog. 😉 x

        • What is this “ironing” you speak of? I seem to remember something about it from many, many years (decades?) ago, when I used to buy garments that needed such time-consuming treatments. I don’t do that any more. It’s wash and wear all the way! (Of course, it helps that I don’t ever leave the house these days, and shorts and t-shirts dry wrinkle free, no problem.)

Writing away, here, and thanks. I’ll send you a blog feature post in a few days. Fingers crossed! I”m looking forward to visiting with you, too. 🙂 ❤
