When you have no control over what might be coming your way, and you’ve done everything you can to be prepared, this is what you do: take your children somewhere safe and live in the moment with them. Be joyous for the time together. Be hopeful for the future. Trust that things will work out as they should. And send pictures like this to your worrywart mom.
Tomorrow will be here soon enough.
Lovely photo. Glad they’re safe and making the most of it.

Just seeing them there having fun has lifted a huge cloud from over my head! I’m taking my own advice and living in the moment. All is well for now, and as they say, “Never trouble Trouble, till Trouble troubles you.” So I’m done with dreaming up every dreadful thing that could happen, and enjoying today. 🙂 Thanks, Staci! ❤

Thanks, Mary, and I hope so. I’ve been running on about 4 hours a night all week! 😦 I never manage 8, but when it falls below 6, I really drag. I hope I drift off with visions of my grandkids playing at the beach. 🙂

Thanks, Darlene, and they are as sweet as they look, too. I’m very blessed. And I do feel more at ease. It’s nice to see them enjoying themselves while they wait for word that they can return home. In the meantime, no point in dreaming up things to fret over.

Lovely photo – lovely sentiments! With a smashing family like that behind you and a good night’s sleep you’ll be more than a match for Florence. More hugs from Wales x

Thanks, Trish. I really got a lift out of this photo. So nice to see them smiling and relaxing with the kids! If they can put it out of their minds for a few days, so can I. Probably. 😉 Thanks for the hugs, too! ❤

They are, and they are making the most of this unexpected vacation on the Gulf. They can deal with whatever is happening back home in Charleston when they are allowed to return. 🙂 Thanks, Joan!! ❤

That’s such a great attitude. What else can you do when there’s nothing to do but wait and see? Thanks for sharing, Marcia. Thinking of you all for this coming weekend. Hugs

Thanks, Harmony. I find myself have to repeat those words now and then, as worry creeps back and tries to take over. Can’t wait to see the last of Florence, and I’m just horrified at m beloved North Carolina’s damage, and the floods yet to come. I’ve never seen one go so far west before. I definitely don’t associate the NC mountains with hurricanes and disasterous flooding. Having a cup of tea to fortify me before I check the updates. Hopefully, Charleston is reaching a point where my daughter can return home and assess any damages. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers, Harmony! And the hugs, too. 🙂 ❤

We are dry down here, but I suspect Wake-Robin Ridge is taking a pounding and hope Mac, Sarah, Rabbit, and Branna are safe, even if the place and people are only real in my heart! 😉

Thanks, Deb! So far, all is well. We’ll see what Charleston looks like when they are able to go home, but what I’m seeing looks like it’s at least missed the worst of this one. Fingers crossed. Will let you know when it’s all over. 🙂 ❤
