Wednesday is Now #ShareAReviewDay

I think we should add a new feature to TWS, just for fun, and to help us share what readers are saying about our books. With that in mind, I’m creating  #ShareAReviewDay for Wednesdays.  You are hereby invited to choose a favorite review of one of your books, and either a) post it on TWS directly, if you are a contributor, or b) email me to set it up for you. (See Contact above.) Since I’m late getting this off the ground, I’ll run it through tomorrow, too, and next week, I’ll give you heads up the day before, so you can plan to take part. 

I’m going to start the ball rolling by sharing a lovely review I discovered on Amazon this morning. Happily, I have received nothing but good reviews for my 2nd Wake-Robin Ridge book,  A Boy Named Rabbit, and many have been truly beautiful. This is the latest of those. Hope you enjoy it,  and if you haven’t yet read Rabbit’s story, maybe this will encourage you to check it out.

    • There are quite a few non-writers who follow TWS, too, so they’ll see them here, plus, if everyone shares these posts via FB, Twitter, or their own blogs, we’ll get lots more eyes on them, too. But it takes a writer to understand just how much these can mean, both to sales, and as inspiration to keep on keepin’ on! 😀 Glad you like the idea! ❤

  2. Congratulations on that fabulous review, Marcia. I completely agree with the reviewer. Rabbit is a special character (I can’t wait for the next book! *hint*). His stories would play out well in a series of movies. Wouldn’t that be grande?

    And I love the idea of Share A Review Wednesday. Thank you for launching such a great feature. It will surely lead me to discover many new books!

    • Thanks for agreeing with writester, Mae. I will say that Rabbit seems to be, hands-down, the favorite character of all my readers. And he’s a joy to write. I’ve been working on #4, but I’m on a writing hiatus for another week or so, trying to take care of some of the many huge jobs that have piled up since the hurricane. But you haven’t seen the last of Little Rabbit, I’m sure.

      Glad you like the idea of #ShareAReviewDay, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for you to do just that. Plus, I admit, I want to check out what people are saying about other writers’ work, too. I think this will be fun. 🙂 ❤

    • I was just thinking the same thing when I saw YOUR name pop up. That’s the biggest drawback of spending long days writing instead of reading, isn’t it? So many wonderful writers out there I haven’t had a chance to read, yet. But you’re on my list, for sure!! (Why do we have to waste so much time sleeping every night? Think of how many books we could read in that 8-hour time frame. Or 6-hour, as is more typical for me.)

  6. Congratulations Marcia for a wonderful review! I like your idea and kindness. Reviews are read only if somebody stumbles across a book in this maze of modern writing. Sharing them like this would give a lot of exposure to writers. 🙂 Thanks.

    • I’ll take those hugs on any kind of wings at all, but owl wings are especially nice. (We have barred owls here in our neighborhood. Used to have them in our own oaks, until the hurricane re-landscaped our yard for us.) Glad this will be a feature you like, and I know you’ll share, as you always do! 😀 ❤

    • Just the kind of feeling I was hoping readers would get, thanks! And if you do decide you want to know more about Little Rabbit, I will say that though it can be read as a stand-alone, it’s easier to understand some of the other characters if you’ve read their story first. Aw heck, Tina. You should run, don’t walk, over to buy all three books currently in the series. Hahahahaha. ❤

        • I know exactly what you mean, Tina. My physical TBR stack is teetering, and my virtual one is ginormous! Hundreds of books!!! I’ll have to live to be 136 before I even make a dent in either of them. 😀 😀 😀

              • You’re right, it won’t be pretty; it will be absolutely beautiful! Scientists have not only halted the aging process in laboratory mice, but also have reversed it. I mention this merely to ease your trepidation, because I abhor vivisection. If we’re seeking a ‘cure’ for humans, then clinical trials on human subjects should be a first step rather than a last one. So chin up! Our own stem cells are used in this process, and we seem to have an endless supply of them 🙂

                • Oh, it’s not the living longer I’m worried about. I’m nowhere near done with everything I want to try, yet. BUT. Unless they can remove 74 years worth of wrinkles, sags, and bags at the same time, I’m still pretty sure I’M not going to be a pretty sight. Those who receive this therapy before gravity takes over will be just fine, I’m guessing. But me? I need some serious Damage Reversal! 😀 😀 😀

      • I’m sure it was. Each and every time I find a review of one of my books I’m…well, at first I’m shocked but, then, when I get over that, I’m thrilled.     • Thanks so much, Natalie. I’ve been very lucky to receive some lovely reviews, especially for Rabbit’s story. I get asked a lot of questions about this little boy, and the general consensus is that folks want more. That’s a very happy thing! 😀

    • Thanks, Cynthia. This one made my day, for sure, though to be fair, I have been very lucky with the wonderful reviews for this book. Rabbit has a way of pulling people into his world, I think. He does this without my help, so I can’t take credit for it. I just write down what he says. 😀
