This is IT! The week I plan to catch up with my blogs, my emails, and most of all, my writing! Yes!! Final building inspection is done on all hurricane repairs, after a mere 4-1/2 months. It’s all over but the shoutin’–at the insurance company, that is. (I’m afraid I had no choice but to do a mass delete of hundreds of emails, but it couldn’t be helped.) I’ll do a real update later in the week if all goes well, but to get back into the swing of things, it’s Monday, and that means a new #MondayMeme, dealing with books, reading, or writing. And here it is! ENJOY!!
Yay! Great news the hurricane repairs are all done. Love the meme, too.

Glad you enjoyed it, Mary, and thanks! I’m so happy to have all the stomping and hammering and sawing and door-bell ringing DONE! The mortgage company will be sending out a final inspector, too, but it should be no biggie, and it could be another couple of weeks down the road. (These people live in another time dimension from the rest of us.) So, I’m hard at work on the draft of CH 4 of my newest Wake-Robin Ridge book. OH, how good it feels to be writing again, in the peace and quiet of my room. *happy sigh*

I’m so pleased there’s going to be another Wake-Robin Ridge book!
I’m knuckling down to writing up the material for Secret Dumfries, a local history book looking at less-well known aspects of the town and its history and people. For instance, it was a man from Dumfries who invented the telescope/camera which was used to map the surface of the moon so Neil Armstrong knew where he was going!

Ooooh, that’s going to be interesting, Mary! Knuckle on! 😀 ❤ And yep, Rabbit will be back, in all his glory, righting wrongs, fighting injustice, and kicking bad guy behind! 😀 😀 😀

Happy to hear about your repairs being done. So glad for you!
(Meme is cute, btw.)

Thanks, Staci. And glad you liked the meme. The poem isn’t new, by any means, but it still makes me laugh, and I figured there’d be some who hadn’t seen it. I love the last verse, especially. Methren, and she, shis and shim get me every time.

I’ve seen it before, too. But it’s always cute.

So pleased to hear that the dust is beginning to settle, if you know what I mean. Always good to get the status quo back!

Nothing like a humungous tree falling on your house to make you appreciate the status quo, that’s for sure! 😀 Thanks, Jaye! I’m so happy to feel like I’m getting my life back. 😉

Good to hear there is light at the end of the tunnel (and not on wheels) and pleased you are preparing your next story. All the best, Marcia.

Thanks so much, Olga. Yes, there is LIGHT. Light is a GOOD thing to see at the end of any tunnel, I think. And I’m hard at work on Wake-Robin Ridge #4. I wasn’t sure if there would be a #4 or not, since I left #3 at a point where it could easily have wrapped up the series, but Rabbit has a lot of fans out there. They have let me know they want–possibly even need–more Rabbit in their lives. Who am I to argue with that? 😀 I’m still hoping to finish this up for a late spring/early summer publication, then on to The Emissary #2 for late summer, and then back to Riverbend for #4 in that series. LOTS of work ahead, and the thought of it all makes me ecstatic!

I hate to do it, Deb, but sometimes, there’s no other answer. Falling farther and farther behind here, and just barely beginning to dig out. But I WILL get there! 😀 Glad you enjoyed this one. ❤

I think it’s pretty clever, even though I’ve seen it before. I’m sure it will be new to a lot of folks, and it’s worth a second read, even if it isn’t. 😀 Glad you enjoyed it, Robbie. English is, indeed, a funny old language! 😉
