Happy #Thanksgiving!

For all my friends who celebrate this holiday, I wish you a bountiful table, surrounded by family and friends, gathered in a joyous celebration of all that is good in the world.

I hope, no matter what troubles have come your way during the past year, you are able to count your blessings, and mean it with all your heart!

  1. I love the saying that “There is always something to be thankful for.” At this moment, I’m happy to be with my kids and grandchildren. for the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

    • That’s lovely! I hope you have a GREAT Thanksgiving! Wish I were with my kids today, but we’re going to my friend (and cover designer) Nicki’s house, and she’s family, too, so it will be great! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

    • Thanks so much, Norah! We had a lovely time with our friends, but I’m SOOO tired now. And full. But it was worth it! A great afternoon, and the first “fun” thing we’ve done with friends since the hurricane. Yay! But I’m off to bed soon. Because I’m tired. And full. (Did I mention those already?) 😀

        • Thanks. It will be weeks yet before the rebuilding is over. They finished repairing the block walls, and should be starting on putting up the new trusses on Monday, but there’s a LOT more to come, including an entire new roof. I’m hoping they’ll be done by Christmas, but I won’t be surprised to see this lap over into the new year. BUT. At least it IS moving forward, finally, so things are looking up! 😀

    • It’s never too late to be thankful, Mae, or to wish others the same thing. That’s how I see it, anyway. Hope you had a lovely day. We certainly did, and we have all the wonderful leftovers to show for it.

Actually, unlike some folks, leftovers are my favorite thing about holiday feasts! Everything tastes better the 2nd day, anyway, after flavors have time to meld. I get to enjoy mashed potato pancakes made by stirring an egg and some flour into the leftover potatoes, and I can heat the turkey in pan gravy for a different taste, etc. Ooooh. I love leftovers! All the goodness, without all the hard work. What could be better, I ask you?

      Happy Leftovers Day! 😀 ❤
