Question: How many screenwriters does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Answer: Why does it *have* to be changed?

Question: How many cover blurb writers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Answer: A VAST AND TEEMING HORDE STRETCHING FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA!!!!

Question: How many Science Fiction Writers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Answer: Two, but it’s actually the same person doing it. He went back in time and met himself in the doorway and then the first one sat on the other one’s shoulder so that they were able to reach it. Then a major time paradox occurred and the entire room, light bulb, changer and all was blown out of existence. They co-existed in a parallel universe, though.

  1. My only disagreement concerns your last example. SciFi writers, generally speaking, pay little mind to the Standard Model of physics, and none whatsoever to peer-reviewed dissertations regarding the numerous Arrows of Time (Causal, quantum, cosmological, etc). And, I doubt that they would spend much time worrying about light bulbs-not when they have phasers and photon glo-lights. I, of course, would spend too much time analyzing the whole concept. Just sayin’ 🙂

    • As of the latest projections, it looks like we are now in line for a direct hit! 😦 😯 I’m having trouble getting my mind around that. I’ve never in all my years seen a hurricane start in Miami and travel up the center of the state for the whole length of Florida, and into Georgia. So it’s a whole different scenario than it was earlier. And it COULD change again. All we can do right now is watch and wait. More than 650,000 people are on the highways just from the Miami area alone, so evacuating during tropical storm force winds (which will be here tomorrow) has its own set of dangers. *sigh* This is pretty grim, for sure.

    • I thought they were pretty clever, myself. And after all my hours of worrying and fretting and physical labor, getting ready for the storm, I needed a bit of a smile over something clever! My brain has to be charged regularly! 😀 Glad you enjoyed them!
