It’s you guys who make it so fab, Mae! I love how interactive it is. And yes, my Snakes program went really well, I think. Small group, which was fine, since it was my first go at this one, and they were my “test audience.” They said I didn’t need to tweak a thing, so I guess they enjoyed it. They laughed a lot, anyway. 🙂 That’s usually my criteria for a fun event. And I think they all left knowing the easiest way to ID the few dangerous species of snakes in central Florida. Funny thing is, I’ve been asked to do the same program again next week, because there were some people who wanted to come, but couldn’t make it this week. Probably another small group, which doesn’t bother me a bit. There’s a special energy that comes from a larger crowd, but it’s more personal when it’s smaller, and you can answer more questions, etc. Me, I’m happy either way.
But I lost a full day of editing, sadly.
On the PLUS side, my cover designer got her first layouts back to me today for That Darkest Place, and all three options are fantastic! I think this is going to be the best one, yet, and I can’t wait to get it all tweaked and ready for a cover reveal. Yipeeee!

So much great news, Marcia! I tend to like small groups better than larger for that one-on-one interaction you mentioned. It sounds like a slam dunk, with another in the wings 🙂

I got absolutely nothing done today. I owe people blog posts, my critique partner a new round of the WIP, and I’ve got two ads I need to do for Facebook. I goofed off and went shopping instead. Sometimes, you just need a break! 🙂

Boy, that’s the truth! I don’t even know where the day went, but I sure wasn’t doing much in the way of relaxing. 😦 And thanks for the offer. I’ll be taking you up on it as soon as I’m ready to release and start promoting. I have a few people I hope will be able to help me get this one out there, so I’ll be throwing myself on their doorsteps, begging and whining (or whinging, if you’re on the other side of the pond). 🙂 The peek at the cover coming together has re-inspired me to edit like the WIND!!!! 😀 😀

It was such a great book! Not my usual genre at all as I love beach reads, but I wanted to try it anyway as I kept seeing the book cover (which is fabulous!) on Twitter. I couldn’t put it down:)
