Anyone else unable to reach Twitter? I can’t tweet, even from Hootsuite. 😦 Nor can I read anyone else’s tweets. Just keep getting the dreaded “This Page Can’t Be Displayed” message.
NOTE: Just checked, and apparently Twitter is down nationwide, and has been since around 7:30am EDT. Well, great! Just when I decide to have a promo! Grrrr.
UPDATE: According to several articles I just read, this problem has been going on since Tuesday, with service interruptions WORLD-wide for millions of people. Twitter posted apologies and said it was fixed, but the fix didn’t last long, and didn’t cover all the outages, so those of you who have access to it are lucky, and those of us who don’t are just S.O.L. (As they say.) Fingers crossed that it gets fixed SOON. I hate not being able to share posts and articles that I’d like to promote. Including MINE. 😀
No, not having any trouble with Twitter so far today but, yesterday I was have the same problem you’re having with Twitter only I was having it with Word Press. It can be so frustrating trying to read someone’s blog. After about five tries I gave up. I hope the problem is fixed soon. :o)

I had some trouble sharing an article to Twitter earlier, but it seems to have sorted itself now.

I googled it, and complaints were rolling in by the 100’s from all across the country. Might not be every area, but it’s widespread. Or has been. I’ll check again, shortly. One complainer said he wanted to tweet that Twitter was broken, but Twitter was broken. 😀 😀 😀

Even the Bluebird has disappeared from my blog pages!! Only a red TWEET is visible, and it doesn’t work. 😦

I can see your blue bird of tweetdom. All working fine in Scotland – but maybe it’ll be my turn tomorrow.

Glad you still have the bluebird of tweetdom. Here, we have the Red Letters of Nothingness. 😦 Still!!! Arrrggggghhhhh.

Thanks SO much, Cathy! You guys could make the difference, though I’ve never run a promo before that hadn’t gotten a SINGLE sale in the first 3+ hours. Gulp. Now THAT’S scary. 😯

I’ll send off a few more.

I was beside myself for a few hours with no Twitter, feeling cut off from the world. If Facebook imploded tomorrow, I wouldn’t bat an eyelash, but no Twitter. HORRORS!!!
Thankfully, it’s back up now so I’ve called off my hissy fit 🙂

It’s been down all day for me, just when I needed it to promote my Kindle Countdown. It’s STILL off here, but I’m glad it’s back for you. Maybe we’ll be next. If not, I’ll add your no-longer-needed hissy fit to MINE, and have two for the price of one. 😀

I believe it’s been up and down all day along with Amazon and some others. Homeland Security is investigating. No one knows what’s going on.

Oh, holy moly! I was HOPING it wouldn’t be anything like that, but honestly, it was in the back of my mind, too. We are so vulnerable in that respect, with so many of us running online businesses. I can’t even THINK about it. 😯
Thanks for letting us know, Lori. For sure, I still have no Twitter, and I can’t help but think something might be weird on Amazon, too. NO numbers are changing there, and they should be by now. *sigh* If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

I responded to some tweets this morning and they seemed okay. Haven’t since.
Better luck yet in your neck of the woods?

No Twitter in Idaho. I also have things going on I want to push, and it makes it tough.

Hope yours is back soon, Craig. Mine came back after a little over 12 hours, but now I’m concerned about what it might be leading up to. An expert in cyber attacks said these DDoS attacks are usually the precursor to something much larger and more damaging. I hope he’s wrong in this case! Maybe everyone’s will be working properly again soon!
