I’m very excited to report that I’ve been invited to be included in a boxed set of six mystery novels. Yep! In the very near future, Swamp Ghosts will be included in Mystery Gone Mad, a cool collection of crazy mysteries: Hard-boiled, soft-boiled, and just plain funny. I hope you’ll all stay tuned as things progress.
As soon as the set is available for pre-order, I’ll post the link. Pre-orders will be $.99. When the set is released, the price will be $2.99. Still a bargain price for over 1,400 pages of murder and mayhem.
The authors include Anna Celeste Burke, Gerald Darnell, Viv Drewa, Judith Lucci, Marcia Meara (that’s moi), and Karen Vaughan. I’m pretty excited about the whole thing, as you might imagine, and I know you guys will help us get the word out.
Check out the cool trailer Gerald Darnell created for us: Mystery Gone Mad
And please stay tuned for more info, as it becomes available.
THANKS!

Exciting news indeed! Swamp Ghosts was on my read list as it was, so now I’ll be looking forward to the whole set. And the trailer is great…love how the music ratchets up with tension 🙂

I think Gerald did a great job on the trailer, too. And now you can get Swamp Ghosts for a really good price, along with five other books, as well, so how can you go wrong? 🙂

Thanks, Mary. This is a first for me, and if Gerald hadn’t asked me, and very patiently explained how it all works, I still wouldn’t be doing one. So I’m glad he’s an almost neighbor, and willing to sit down over lunch to go over it with me.

Thank you, Carmen. It’s been a learning experience already, and we’ve just started. Well, I have, anyway. The others have been working on it a whole week! (They are SUPER fast movers!)

I have an entire shelf dedicated to short story anthologies, which I love, but I’ve never taken part in a boxed set before. I’ve bought a few, and even managed to read one or two, but mostly this is new for me, and I’m having fun! Never been part of anything that had a musical trailer for it, either. Very cool. 😀 Thanks for the congratulations! ❤

You probably missed it because you had tons of comments, lol. Thanks for fishing me out. 🙂

It’s the emails that buried me. I normally get from 150 to 250/300 a day, but I got 600 a few days ago, followed by 500 the next day, and around 300 every day since. Luckily, I have a system, but still, that was a LOT of emails to try to get through! On top of several other fires to put out. I didn’t do as good a job responding to comments and stuff as I normally like to do, I’m afraid. But oh, well. It happens. And it was mostly really good/nice stuff in the emails, so I’m not going to complain. 😀

I hear you girl! My inbox could very well compete with yours. It’s amazing we get any writing done! Lol. PS – did you see my review on any of the many places I shared it? LOL. I will be posting the review next Sunday on my page. I’ve started a Sunday book review post! ❤

No, I haven’t seen your review, but I WANT to, so I can share. Could you send me links? THANKS so much! I’m excited. Nervous, but excited! 🙂

Oooh, I found it on Amazon, Deb, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I’m so glad you enjoyed the book, and I appreciate such lovely comments. AND, I’m glad I stirred up every one of those emotions, include, dare I say it?, FEAR! Hahahaha. THANKS AGAIN! *happy feet happenin’ here*

Really? You don’t check your Amazon book pages for new reviews? You don’t see my posts on Google, FB and Twitter? Wow! I always add your name to my shares. PS, I just finished creating a post to showcase your book next Sunday. Be very afraid!!!!!!!!! Lol Kidding! 🙂 🙂 Now hop over to your Wake-Robin book page LadyJane. ❤

I actually check my amazon pages several time a day, so it must have just gone up because it wasn’t there last night. Though sometimes they put up a new review and it’s a couple of days before the number changes. That’s happened to me several times. But it’s there now.
I don’t follow Google, and I NEVER get updates from FB, no matter how many times I request notification from various blogs 😦 I do see Tweets, usually, but didn’t see this one. 😦 PLUS, there’s the matter of those kajillion emails making my Inbox a huge mess.
BUT, I’ve just done my morning check on amazon, and there your review was. I proudly read it to my hubby. Out loud. (He hates when I do that.) 😀 THANKS again!!! And I’ll be checking everywhere else I can, and DEFINITELY will be checking your blog next Sunday, so I can share with the Immediate World. 😀

Yay! I’m glad you saw it. Lol hubby tired of your gloating?
Feel free to post in your blog, then when you can post again when it comes out on my blog. And that is strange because I received the confirmation email from Amazon my review was live, early yesterday? Anyway it’s up. And I enjoyed the book immensely! And as for notifications. When you go to your gmail account you should receive emails from them when anyone posts anything with your +Marcia name added to it, so that’s strange. That’s how I always know to thank someone because I rarely visit my Google page, I just post to it. And on FB in the upper right hand corner on the page is where you click on the drop down box that keeps you up to date on anyone posting or mentioning you. I check mine daily so I can see who’s sharing my stuff. Hope this helps. 🙂

I do check FB manually when I visit, but I don’t go there often, I’m afraid. Am trying to do better. I don’t have a gmail account, so that won’t work. 🙂 I do get emails when you post on your blog, but I can’t read them in my Inbox. I have to click on your blog link and go there to read them. I do that as often as I can. But I never miss checking on amazon, and for sure it wasn’t showing in the TOTAL reviews last night. Again, though, there is often a lag from when a review goes up, to when that number changes. I should probably always double check the most recent review to see if the total is correct.
TOO. MANY. THINGS! BRAIN. IMPLOSION. PENDING!

No kidding! And I thought you had a gmail account because I have you as a friend connection on Google with your picture? Okay this is muchhhhhhhhhh too confusing lol! Now you know why I’m always crazy busy too, babysitting all these sites. Maybe I should try your approach, lol. 🙂

That’s because I (very briefly) had a Virtual Assistant, and she was setting me up in lots of places, most of which I’ve never had time to even LOOK at. Maybe one of these days. 🙂 Still confused? Suffice it to say, I don’t even KNOW where all I might have an “empty” account sitting. Of course, I barely know how to find my way from my desk to the dinner table, either. Have I mentioned I’m OOOOLLLLD?

Have I mentioned you’re hilarious??? Perhaps you should consider writing a humorous memoir one day, because I know you don’t have enough to do, lol. ❤

Sure. Make fun of the OLD LADY, whose gray cells are leaping out of her ears daily, dying in ugly smears on the floor around her computer chair. Easy target for young whippersnappers like YOU! *harruuumphh* But I do like the humor idea. (I always wanted to write like a cross between Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry. Sadly, I just ended up LOOKING like one.) 😀

Stop being so hard on your wonderful self. And me young? that’s another LOL. I live by the computer chair too, with all the aches and pains that come with it, lol. And I loveeeeeee Erma too. 🙂

Wasn’t really being hard on myself. Was just thinking how funny it sounded. I’ll do just about anything for a laugh, you know.
